We live in a cabin in the woods, heat with wood and try to make our lifestyle as simple as possible.
As there is just a small amount of land for our use we are keeping smaller breeds of livestock
such as Nigerian Dwarf & African Pygmy Goats, Silky Chickens, Bantam Aracaunas, Silver Sebrights, D'Uccles, Buff Laced Polish & Old English Chickens. We hope to have purebred hatching eggs from our chickens available in 2011. Since
our Homestead animals are small a Shetland Sheepdog is perfect for herding and guarding.
For now the only page we have finished is for our Shetland Sheepdog Roxy. but stay tuned for more pages on our goats, chickens and for details of my artwork and self published books about growing up on a farm and real life animal stories.
